چکیده
Preserving the environment is a major challenge for modern society, and reducing greenhouse effect caused by combustion processes primary concern. It known that nitrogen compounds (NOx) negatively impact air quality public health. Internal engines, responsible nearly half of atmosphere's pollutants, have prompted policymakers to phase out gasoline diesel-powered vehicles in near future. Carbon capture storage technologies, including oxy-fuel combustion, are being developed address these environmental challenges. To predict exhaust pollutants such as NO CO, assuming gases resulting from fuel chemical equilibrium useful approximation. In current case study, numerical investigation on modifying oxygen content reaction mixture 21% 100% composition C8H18 air-enriched was conducted. Specifically, equilibrium-constant approach routines were tailored 10 species reported literature conditions combustion. Additionally, comprehensive analysis performed varying temperature equivalence ratio alongside level. The results emphasize intricate interplay between various factors oxy-combustion provide valuable insight into product formation Notably, non-uniform reduction N2 function O2 highlighted, with an overall rate 0.93 observed across range percentages 99%.

Modeling Soot Formation in Kerosene and Fuel Surrogates Combustion
This article presents an analysis of soot formation in kerosene and fuel surrogates. This analysis is based on a detailed chemical mechanism for the combustion of single component fuels such as n-heptane, isooctane, benzene, and toluene. The chemical mechanism describes the formation of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAH) up to cyclo[cd]pyrene and is shown to reproduce the formation of soot ...
متن کاملOxy - fuel combustion of coal and biomass blends
The ignition temperature, burnout and NO emissions of blends of a semi-anthracite and a high-volatile bituminous coal with 10 and 20 wt.% of olive waste were studied under oxy-fuel combustion conditions in an entrained flow reactor (EFR). The results obtained under several oxy-fuel atmospheres (21%O2-79%CO2, 30%O2-70% CO2 and 35%O265%CO2) were compared with those attained in air. The results in...
متن کاملEffects of nitrogen content in fuel on NOX emissions under oxy-fuel coal combustion
Oxy-fuel coal combustion with flue gas re-circulation is known to be one of the most promising methods for reducing CO2 emissions from coal combustion power plants. In the oxy-fuel system, the combustion atmosphere consists of only O2 separated from air and flue gas re-circulated from a stack. Therefore, the flue gas is dominated by CO2 without any nitrogen gas. The most attractive potential as...
متن کاملModeling and Control of Combustion Instability Using Fuel Injection
Active control using periodic fuel injection has the potential of suppressing combustion instability without radically changing the engine design or sacrificing performance. In this paper, we carry out a study of optimal model-based control of combustion instability using fuel injection. The model developed is physically based and includes the acoustics, the heat-release dynamics, their couplin...
متن کاملPresumed PDF Modeling of Reactive Oxy-Fuel Flow in a Model Combustor
A non-premixed coaxial oxy-fuel turbulent flame was studied numerically with standard and realizable k-ε turbulence model and a comparison was made between them. The governing equations were solved by finite volume approach and were discretized using the second order upwind scheme. The presumed β-PDF model was applied to model turbulence-combustion interaction. The discrete ordinate radiation h...
